Now that warmer weather has arrived, it's tempting to be out in the sunshine as much as possible, but remember the sun's UV rays are strong enough to burn delicate skin.
The Centers for Disease Control offers these sun safety tips:
1) Sunscreen should have a sun protection factor of at least 15, with both UVA and UVB protection. It should say "broad spectrum" on the label.
2) Sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours, or after swimming or sweating a lot.
3) Clothing also helps protect the skin. A typical t-shirt has an SPF lower than 15, while a wet t-shirt offers much less sun protection.
