Telling someone information you learn could be key in memorizing it.

Scientists asked a group of college students to remember details about a series of movie clips using three different strategies.

People were able to remember the broader theme and more specific details for a longer period of time, if they told someone about the clips soon after seeing them.

Experts say this retelling technique could be a better way to study for a test, instead of re-reading class notes or textbooks.
