Tamer youth football in the works

Posted

USA Football says it plans to produce a tamer version of football for it's young players.

The changes include cutting the number of players on the field, creating smaller fields, eliminating kick-offs and punts, and banning the three-point stance.

The intent of the changes are to make youth tackle football more like flag football with less contact and hitting.

A USA Football spokesperson says that changes are being made to address parents concerns about their child's safety.
