There's a lot of disagreement in the medical community about when and how often women should get a mammogram.
A new study looks at what doctors recommend for their own patients.
According to the survey, 81-percent of doctors recommended mammograms for women in their early 40s and 88-percent said screening should begin by age 50.
Among those who recommended mammograms, most promoted yearly screenings. About two-thirds of doctors said women over 75 should get mammograms.
Gynecologists were most likely to recommend breast cancer screenings for women of all ages.
