Study: Parents more likely to take children to walk in clinic

Posted

A study released this week highlights just how difficult it can be to get your child in to see the doctor.

A poll done by C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor found most parents would want to take their sick child to their provider, but only around half are confident they could actually get a same day appointment.

About four in ten parents end up taking their kids to an urgent care, retail clinic or e.r.

Researchers say it's important to make sure those services are covered by insurance and that the clinic provides information to your child's provider so their medical record is up to date.
