Sparrow volunteers honored at luncheon in Lansing

Posted

An East Lansing woman and two-time cancer survivor started volunteering at Sparrow when Lyndon Johnson was president. She was recognized, along with many others, at Sparrow’s Volunteer Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 17.

Sparrow was started by Volunteers in 1896 and they’ve been a key part of our fabric ever since. The program features many local residents who are unsung heroes in providing quality, compassionate care to their Patients.

Sparrow honored 177 Volunteers whose service ranges from 5 to 50 years.

We did two Facebook Lives at the event. Check them out below!
