LANSING, Mich. — Chances are if you’re not experiencing arthritis and joint pain, you know someone who is. One-third of Michigan adults have some form of arthritis – nearly half report that it limits their activities. And it isn’t just senior citizens. Almost half of the people with arthritis in Michigan are younger than 65. That’s why Sparrow is partnering with Burcham Hills to offer a six-week series on Arthritis and Joint Care. The sessions feature topics such as improving daily activity through joint protection and strengthening, fighting inflammation with food, understanding causes and treatments of joint pain, and more. The first session is one of our popular Lunch with the Doctor events on Advances in Knee Replacement Surgery, featuring Daniel Mesko, M.D., of Sparrow and the Michigan Orthopedic Center. There’s a charge for the Lunch with the Doctor session but all others are free.
Where: Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, Big Ten Room A, 219 S. Harrison, East Lansing.
When: Thursday, Aug. 15, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
