LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - Sparrow Hospital held a reunion on Sunday for it’s at one-time tiniest patients and their families.
The annual Sparrow Regional Neonatal ICU reunion picnic brought families of former RNICU patients and their caregivers together at Hawk Island Park in Lansing.
The event featured a live band, activities such as face painting and animals from Potter Park Zoo.
"I wasn't sure if it was something we would do but then I got the letter in the mail for it and I was like, you know, I actually want to go,” said Tarynn Reiner. “I want to see some of these nurses and see how well these kids are doing."
The Sparrow RNICU cares for hundreds of acutely ill infants each year.
