Sparrow Hospital honored local EMS personnel Thursday at it's annual EMS Appreciation Awards ceremony.
Mayor Schor was in attendance to congratulate a Lansing firefighter and the Delta Township Fire Department.
The ceremony was in celebration of National EMS Week.
According to Sparrow, the awards given reflect Sparrow's dedication to providing and recognizing the best emergency patient care in Mid-Michigan.
They have been happening annually since 2013.
Emergency Department Caregivers at Sparrow nominate and vote for the top individual winner and department.
