Severe reactions not likely to happen after vaccines

When a child has a serious reaction to a vaccine the chances of it happening again are slim, that's according to new research from the CDC.

Experts there say any vaccine can cause side effects and most are generally minor, like a sore arm or low grade fever. But researchers found that children who receive the same vaccine again or one with similar ingredients rarely had a severe reaction.

Experts say the findings are reassuring and help to show that childhood vaccinations are safe.
