Cargill Meat Solutions has issued a recall on its ground beef products for possible E. coli contamination.
The Fort Morgan, Colorado, company is recalling about 25,290 pounds of ground beef products for possible E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Thursday.
The product is the 10-pound chubs of “EXCEL 93/7 FINE GRIND GROUND BEEF” produced on Aug. 16 with a use-by/freeze-by date of Sep 05. It also has a “PACK DATE 08/16/2018” on the box label.
The recalled products also have the establishment number “EST. 86R” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The products were shipped to warehouses in California and Colorado.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to these products.
