Americans have less medical bills to pay off, that's according to the latest government data.

About 16-percent of people under 65 live in families that struggle to pay their medical bills. That's down from 21-percent in 2011.

Despite improvement, families with children are still more likely to have problems paying health care bills as are families without medical insurance and those living in poverty.
