Opioid use may increase the risk of falls among elderly adults.
Canadian researchers studied over 60,000 seniors who were treated for some type of injury.
They found patients who had recently taken opioids were two and a half times more likely to have a serious fall.
Opioid related falls were also more likely to be fatal.
