Michigan veterans could be receiving some mental health help.

Senator Peters announced legislation to require the US Department of Veterans Affairs to provide mental and behavioral health services.

The aid would be provided to former service members who received less than honorable discharge.

They must also be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injury sustained during their service.

Peters said, "I am proud to join my colleagues in supporting this legislation that will ensure our brave service members can get health care services they need."
