Hundreds of people gathered at Sparrow Hospital Sunday to attend the Sparrow Cancer Center Annual Survivor's Day Celebration.

The 22nd annual event honors cancer survivors, including patients currently in treatment.

Dozens of volunteers worked together to set up and work at the event.

"We can all learn a lot from each other," said Lisa Rucker, a cancer survivor. "The experience is like no other, we are celebrating life today and we are celebrating it together."

The event had musical performances, free massages, food and activities for kids. Sparrow also awarded the Cancer Survivor of the Year to both an adult and pediatric patient.
