Posted

The Hepatitis A outbreak has reached Calhoun County.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says three cases reported in the county are linked to the strain in Southeast Michigan.

Since August of last year, there have been 457 confirmed cases of Hepatitis A in the state. Eighteen people have died.

To help respond to the outbreak, the state activated the State Emergency Operations Center earlier this month.
