The health department is hosting a walk-in flu clinic on Wednesday, October 25 at the Human Services Building in Lansing. They will be offering a sliding fee scale to people who do not have health insurance.
It runs from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-5:30 p.m., in Conference Room A of the Human Services Building located at 5303 S. Cedar Street in Lansing.
The flu is a respiratory illness that can have mild to severe symptoms. Young children, people over the age of 65, and people with other medical conditions are most at risk. Flu season usually peaks between December and February, but can be very unpredictable.
