Roughly half of women with early stages of breast cancer have had at least one severe side effect from their treatment.
The most common were pain, skin irritation and constipation, but others had intense nausea, shortness of breath and arm swelling.
Women who had both chemo and radiation, a double mastectomy or are Latina are more likely to have a severe side effect.
