One day carbs are the devil and the next they're your dietary savior. We have voices of reason to the rescue. Trainers and transformation experts Chris and Heidi Powell created a new food delivery service called Fresh By Transform and they're here to debunk myths about carbs.
1. Carbs Start in the Liver
Most people think carbs will make them fat, but the fact of the matter is our body puts the carbs through a whole process before the carbohydrates are stored as fat.
2. Carbs Go To Muscles
Next, the carbs are going to overflow and spill into the muscles of our body and start soaking up that carbohydrate to the tune of about 250 to 400 grams of carbs. That's the fuel that they use to move so we need those carbohydrates.
3. Carbs Turn to Fat
This is when the carbohydrates start to overflow into body fat. If your body doesn't use that fuel then your liver is going to take those carbohydrates and turn them into a triglyceride. They're going to store them as body fat.
