A warning from state health officials about the safety of real live chicks this Easter.

While they may be cute and fun to play with, they could be carrying salmonella.

The bacteria can make people very sick with diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.

If you plan on including baby chicks in your Easter, make sure everyone who touches them washes their hands thoroughly before and after handling them.
