Antibiotic-resistant infections are on the rise among American children.
Researchers analyzed blood samples from kids between one and 17-years-old, who received hospital care between 1999 and 2012.
During that time, rates of bacteria samples resistant to at least three types of antibiotics rose from about 15-percent to 26-percent.
Drug resistance was more common among children in intensive care units, those between 13 and 17-years-old and those in the Midwest.
