Each year, one in six Americans gets some form of food poisoning and now the CDC has the latest date on the most likely sources.
Camplyobacter and salmonella were the most commonly reported food-borne illnesses last year. Both are linked to undercooked poultry.
The good news is salmonella infections decreased by 18-percent because of new standards that have reduced contamination in poultry farms.
This is the first year the CDC has counted infections diagnosed by rapid testing, as well as those confirmed by culture tests.
