LANSING, Mich. — After scoring his second goal of 2019, midfielder Xavier Gomez has been named to the USL League One Team of the Week for Week 17.
The talented attacker scored the team's third goal against Toronto FC II on Friday, completed 25 of 30 passes and made 10 recoveries.
Rafa Mentzingen and Grant Stoneman are the only LIFC players to have earned Player of the Week honors in 2019, while eight Lansing players have received Team of the Week honors this regular season: Nick Moon, Kevin Coiffic, Ivo Cerda, Stefan Cleveland, Tumi Moshobane, Mentzingen, Stoneman and Gomez. Coiffic and Stoneman have been named to the League One Team of the Week three times in 2019, while Gomez becomes the only LIFC player to earn the honors four times this campaign.
