World War II veteran wins jackpot on 94th birthday

Posted

A World War II veteran and lifelong Detroit Tigers fan got quite the surprise on his 94th birthday.

Stanley Jastrzembski of Muskegon won a Michigan Lottery ticket good for two 2018 season Tigers tickets or $10,000 cash. But because of his age and the long drive from Muskegon to Detroit, Stanley decided to go with the cash.

Stanley also received an autographed baseball from former Detroit Tiger Allen Trammel and tickets to a game this season.
