To help support and empower women in the greater Lansing-area, the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing received a $5,000 check from the Women’s Lifestyle Magazine and M3 Group.
The money will help the Women’s Center in their mission of helping women realize their potential and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
The money was raised through the Lady Classic Golf Outing held in September, where 125 women played a round of golf at Hawk Hollow Golf Club. There was also a celebrity caddy auction and other activities.
“Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, as well as the women and men in our community, the Lady Classic continues to raise significant amounts of money each year for local nonprofits that are doing great work,” said Mazurkiewicz. “We are so excited to support the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing as they continue to empower women to grow personally and professionally.”
The money raised for the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing will help support the services they provide to women in our community like career counseling, support for those going through divorce, healing from sexual assault or other soul-crushing events, assertiveness training and more. Since opening their doors in 2005, the nonprofit has served more than 5,000 women.
Next year’s CAWLM Lady Classic is set form Sept. 20, 2017. To learn more, click here.
