Veterans Kick off 5th Annual Old Glory Relay Across America

As the sun rises on September 11, 2018, Team Red, White & Blue will gather in Boston and unfurl Old Glory for the fifth consecutive year. An epic journey will take that same flag through 24 states and 10,000 pairs of hands over 62 days, as veterans and supporters work together to bring the American flag to San Diego on Veterans Day, the 100th anniversary of the Armistice of World War I.

The Old Glory Relay, presented by Microsoft, connects communities. By raising the flag, by moving it across the country, and by passing it off to another, each person who touches this year’s Old Glory becomes part of something bigger than any solo journey. This connection is part of the formula that builds well-being in veterans.

This amazing experience supports Team RWB's mission of enriching veteran’s lives, and generates donations for our core programs focused on engaging veterans and supporters within their communities. Team RWB is proud to showcase the veterans who lift the nation, as we lift the flag every day throughout the #OldGloryRelay and weave together the nation in support of veterans.

On October 3rd, 2018, the Old Glory Relay will be passing through southern Michigan, passing from Tecumseh to Girard, escorted by local law enforcement all the way. At 4:15, the Flag will reach Litchfield, and will be escorted into town by members of the community. At 4:30, there will a robust commemorative ceremony at the Litchfield Veterans Memorial.  The route for the day can be found here.

Team Red, White, & Blue, veterans from all branches and eras of service, Active Duty Guard and Reserve service members, civilian supporters, and key sponsors including: Microsoft (presenting sponsor), Westfield, Comacast NBCUniversal, Best Buy, Starbucks, Drip Drop, LaQuinta, and Amazon Military.
