East Lansing honored our veterans on Thursday, a day early.
They raised the military flag as bagpipes payed outside the Hannah Community Center.
The ceremony was held on the 241st Birthday of the United States Marine Corps.
There was also a moment of silence for second lieutenant Sherrod Skinner Jr., an East Lansing marine who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for bravery in the Korean War.
