The Unite to Face Addiction - Michigan Rally is a great opportunity for those in Michigan to be heard! As we Rally and Advocate for addiction services regarding Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery; we become part of the solution. It aims to reduce the stigma associated with addiction and that people can, and do recover.
Please consider supporting the 3rd Annual Unite To Face Addiction Michigan Rally being held on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Michigan State Capital in downtown Lansing.
Treatment providers, family members, friends and advocates of recovery, and our partners in government will all come together to celebrate the commitment that we share in the recovery movement. This event has grown every year since it was first held on the lawn of the Michigan State Capital in Lansing in 2016 2,000 people. This year, we anticipate the rally to be bigger and better than last! We are planning what is sure to be another successful event and hope that you will be part of our 3rd Annual UFAM Rally.
The 3rd Annual UFAM Rally is a free, family-friendly event featuring naloxone trainings, and health and wellness tent in which participants can participate in yoga and acupuncture. It is also an educational event, which seeks to raise awareness about drug and alcohol addiction and the journey of recovery. Last year, over 50 organizations from across Michigan set up information tables to help us share this message. Our program includes a great line-up of national and local speakers, lawmakers, advocates and individuals sharing their personal stories of recovery. The event includes a memorial area, featuring a memorial board used to commemorate those lost due to addiction.
Please consider supporting the 3rd Annual UFAM Rally; by sponsoring or by having a resource table at the event. A complete list of sponsorship opportunities is attached and any level of support is truly appreciated. Thank you very much for your consideration of our request and we look forward to your support this year. Please contact Scott Masi at 810-360-5779 to discuss any questions you may have.
