On Sunday, October 28, 2018 Eaton County Parks and Recreation will host the first Timber Trails 5K at scenic Fitzgerald Park.

This run/walk event is routed on a slightly challenging course with ranging elevations over grass, gravel roads, and wooded trails. A perfect way for outdoor lovers to enjoy a brisk fall morning in one of the most beautiful parks in Mid-Michigan. Proceeds from the event will benefit trail development within Eaton County Parks. All ages are encouraged to join!

Registration is available through RunSignUp.com and includes a Timber Trails 5k race shirt. Youth participants will receive a FREE Eaton County Parks water bottle. Awards and medals will be presented to the top participants from their respective groups. Special group pricing is available, so grab your friends and family and sign up together!

The Timber Trails 5k is endorsed by The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and part of the 2018 Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge. The event will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation with race results posted on the web at Playmakers.com.
