Over 2,000 athletes tumbled, jumped, and flipped at the Dimondale's Summit Sports and Ice Complex this weekend.
The event, 2017 Twistars Invitational, was hosted by the Twistars USA Gymnastics Club and featured gymnasts from around the Midwest.
" Michigan is lucky to have this type of event in their backyard with high quality gymnastics," says John Geddert, the club's head coach .
The winner from each individual event at the Twistars Invitational will have a chance to compete at the prestigious Nastia Liukin Cup.
The eighth-annual Nastia Liukin Cup will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on March 3-4, 2017.
John Geddert is known as the head coach to 2012 Olympic Champion Jordyn Wieber .
