MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Introduce your toddler or preschooler to nature at the Harris Nature Center, 3998 Van Atta Road, in Meridian Township. Eight-week sessions of Nature Tots begin Monday September 23rd for children 4 years and younger accompanied by an adult. For more information, contact hnc@meridian.mi.us or 517.349.3866.
Nature Tots classes meet at 9:00 - 10:00 am or 12:30 - 1:30 pm, giving parents the option to choose which time works best for their schedule. The fall session is for eight weeks on Mondays, September 23rd through November 11th.
“In these programs the naturalist will facilitate activities while the child and adult companion participate as a team,” said Nature Center Coordinator Kati Adams. “Participants will enjoy nature activities, games, walks, crafts, stories and songs.”
Enrollment is limited, so parents should request a registration form by calling the Harris Nature Center at 517.349.3866 or register online at www.meridian.mi.us [meridian.mi.us]/HNC. There is a $50 fee for these 8-week sessions.
