The food and wine event of the summer returns! Taste of Downtown offers an afternoon of food sampling from a variety of downtown restaurants, wine tasting from over 100 wines from around the world and live entertainment—Saturday, July 22, from 3:30-9 p.m. in downtown Lansing on Washington Square.
Twelve downtown restaurants and eateries are participating in this year’s event thanks to Tasting Sponsor, Lake Trust Credit Union. Food samples will be available from the following restaurants: Nuthouse Sports Grill, Whipped Bakery, Domino’s, Capitol City Grille, Midtown Brewing Company, Lansing Brewing Company, Aladdin’s Express, Juice Nation, Lou & Harry’s, EnVie, Grand Traverse Pie Company and Glazed and Confused Bakery.
For those that don't care for wine, American Fifth Spirits will be at Taste of Downtown for the third year with HUE Vodka cocktail samples, which can be purchased with wine tickets. Lansing Brewing Company will also be in attendance with Lansing-made beers available for purchase.
New this year are two Michigan wine tables! There will be several varieties of wine from Michigan wineries Tabor Hill, Bonobo, Leelanau Cellars, Chateau Grand Traverse and Black Star Farms.
Don’t miss the live entertainment on the outdoor stage. Enjoy the beats from local musicians Global Village,
Frog & The Beeftones and Black Barn Band.
Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door for adults and includes a keepsake Taste of Downtown wine tasting glass, 5 food tickets and 5 wine sampling tickets. You must be 21 years or older to participate in wine
tasting or to purchase an alcoholic beverage with a valid picture I.D. that will be checked upon entry. Admission
for children 12 and under is $5 and includes 2 food tickets and children under 2 get in free.
