According to the U.S. Census Bureau, nearly 30% of families in Lansing live below the poverty line, and many of them don't know where their next meal will come from.

Fazoli's, Union Missionary Baptist Church, and Feed the Children realize there are a lot of people in this position, so they're providing food to the community.

"They get two boxes full of different kinds of food, a big bag of chicken, cereal, tuna, just a nice assortment of a lot of different things that they can use,"Terry Chepy, the owner of Fazoli's said.

Rebecca Blay from Feed the Children said these items aren't always easy to get under government programs.

Chepy said they are going to continue their partnership so they can feed as many families as they can.

Lansing will also have a mobile food pantry April 15th at Lansing Catholic Central High School from 9am to 11am. All participants must bring a valid state identification card or a drivers license.
