It was the Oldsmobile Dealership, now it will provide homes for over 800 people.
It's the new SkyVue apartment building on Michigan Avenue looking over Lansing.
They held their grand opening today to show off the beautiful building that creates a middle point between the state capitol and Michigan State University.
Mayor Virg Bernero was there to cut the ribbon and open the doors to the community.
"Michigan Avenue is coming to life. Here we're putting over 800 people, right here on the avenue. These are folks who are gonna be living here, who are going to be looking for entertainment and other options, eating options, dining options, right in this area. Some of these options are already here, some will be popping up and growing," said Lansing Mayor Virg. Bernero.
The 90 million, nine story complex has more than 300 apartments, a fitness center, hot tub and other amenities.
Residents are expected to start moving in on August 24th.
