LANSING, Mich. — Residents with a library card from CADL will soon be able to borrow a CATA bus pass for 30 days. Passes for fixed routes and rural service will be available at any of the 13 CADL branches starting May 1. Quantities are limited so passes can’t be renewed.

CATA CEO Bradley T. Funkhouser said, “I’m thrilled about our partnership with Capital Area District Libraries, specifically the opportunity to help raise awareness about CATA and CADL’s services. We both bring tremendous, immeasurable value to our communities. This partnership is a unique way for us to demonstrate the true spirit of public service in action.”

The passes are being added to CADL’s popular Library of Things Collection. Adults with a CADL card can borrow more than 100 different items, such as Roku devices preloaded with movies, musical instruments, sewing machines and Go-Pros. You can also borrow Potter Park Zoo passes, which includes free parking.
