Holt and south Lansing residents get ready to sweat! A popular fitness franchise is coming to a location near you.
The former L&L Food Center will soon be transformed into 20,000 square feet of judgment free exercise equipment.
That's right! Planet Fitness has leased the space, creating a potential draw of 35,000 to 45,000 customers per month.
The plan will not only draw crowds to the once vacant building, but will also bring 15 to 20 additional jobs to the Lansing area.
"We are looking forward to opening our third Planet Fitness location in the Lansing area this fall. The response to Planet Fitness by the Lansing community has been overwhelming. We look forward to continuing to serve the area with out $10/month membership and our judgment free zone," said Thomas E. Purther, owner of Cambridge Investors, LLC.
After renovations, it is estimated Planet Fitness will open it's doors by September 2016.
Planet Fitness will be located at 2380 Cedar Street in Holt, Michigan.
