A local schools works to try to make the holidays a little brighter for those in need.
The organizers of the Community Closet at the Middle School at Parkside are asking for donations to give to families who receive weekly backpacks from the Community Closet.
Just last month, we told you about the closet, which includes everything from new clothes to winter coats, deodorant, food and backpacks for those in need.
The goal of the closet is to keep students fed and clothed, especially on cold winter days.
Every Friday, students can stop in to pick up a backpack filled with food to get them through the weekend.
