A park in downtown East Lansing is being dedicated to a man who served the community for more than 60 years.
Bill Sharp died in April at 88-years-old. He was an East Lansing police officer before serving on the school board and city council.
He also volunteered with the Kiwanis Club, American Legion, the Greater Lansing Safety Council, Volunteers of America and the tri-county Meals on Wheels program.
