On Saturday, September 30, Turning Point will mark the 10th anniversary of Tara’s Walk, a 5K Walk to raise awareness about preventing domestic violence. Tara Grant, a domestic violence victim, will be hailed as a woman who’s plight caused countless of people to stand up against domestic violence.
Tara’s Walk, now in its 10th year, began as a way for Tara’s family to share her legacy and promote awareness. Turning Point, the host and advocate against domestic violence expects more than 600 participants. This year’s Walk will take place on the grounds of the impressive Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights. Tara Grant’s sister and family will join the audience and participate in the Walk as they do each year, in remembrance.
