LANSING, Mich. — The Olivet College Gospel Choir will perform “The Music of Disney” on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Olivet High School Auditorium, 255 First St., Olivet. Tickets range from $2-$10 and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/2Q5Pf0Q. Proceeds will support the choir’s trip to Italy in March 2020.

“With Olivet’s music program growing, we wanted to provide a different music experience for OC supporters and the community,” Olivet College Gospel Choir Director La’Rae Trice said. “This performance will be a completely different musical experience where we’ll use a combination of narration, visual displays and live and instrumental music to tell classic Disney stories. The entire show has been choreographed and arranged by the Gospel Choir and friends and family members of the choir. We’ll use the funds received from tickets to support our 2020 trip to Italy. We’re so excited, and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on.”

The choir’s upcoming trip to Italy will take place March 8-14, 2020, and comes through Music Celebrations International, an organization that aims to raise the level of musicianship and dedication to the performing arts around the globe. The trip will include three performances featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary gospel music complete with a live band.
