OLIVET, Mich. — Olivet College will host a Senior Art Exhibition April 1 - May 20, at the Kresge Foundation Art Gallery, 112 W. Green St., Olivet College. A reception will be held April 5, 5-7 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Students are accepting donations to help fund refreshments for the reception as well as to frame the artists’ pieces.
This year’s exhibition features Kaleb Bradley, a graphic design major with a minor in computer science; Samantha Igl, a major in the visual arts dual discipline with a concentration in business; Hannah Mellino, a double major in graphic design and visual arts with a concentration in biological illustration; Megan Partlo, a double major in graphic design and visual arts with a concentration in biological illustration; Leshaun Phillips, a visual arts major with a concentration in studio art; and Mark Smith, a visual arts major with a concentration in biological illustration.
The arts play a vital role in fostering creativity and learning at Olivet College by promoting personal growth, self-expression, appreciation and individual and social responsibility.
