LANSING, Mich. - Grand Rapids-based Pasta Per Trio, the Michigan franchisee of Noodles & Company (NASDAQ:NDLS), announced today that it will partner with No Kid Hungry® for the third year to help end childhood hunger in America. By donating $2 to the nonprofit campaign at participating Noodles & Company restaurants or online at noodles.com/endhunger [noodles.com] from September 5, 2018 through October 23, 2018, guests will receive a coupon for a free Shareable item to enjoy with their family and friends on their next visit. Every $2 donation helps supply 20 meals to kids in need.
Studies by No Kid Hungry® indicate that one in six kids experiences hunger on a regular basis and that 95 percent of teachers believe hunger impacts their students’ ability to succeed. In addition, 77 percent of teachers directly correlate hunger with poor academic performance. With the start of the academic school year, Pasta Per Trio believes there is no better time than now to support families struggling to afford enough food for their families.
“In 2017, our guests in Michigan donated more than $24,000 to make an impact on childhood hunger,” said Tom Shephard, Vice President of Pasta Per Trio, the Michigan Noodles & Company franchisee. “We’re proud to partner with our guests and No Kid Hungry® again this year to do our part for hungry families in our state.”
Coupons for the free Shareable item are valid through Oct. 23, 2018, and are good for any size Korean BBQ Meatballs, Cheesy Garlic Bread or Potstickers. The coupon cannot be combined with any other offer. Donations can be given, and free Shareable items can be redeemed at both Lansing area Noodles restaurants, located on East Grand River and West Grand River in Okemos.
