Meridian Twp. police host charity basketball game versus fire department

Meridian Township Police Department hosted a charity basketball games versus the Meridian Township Fire Department Sunday afternoon.

The game was held on the basketball court inside Haslett Middle School.

A 50/50 raffle took place, along with a K9 meet and greet, and an appearance from “McGruff the Crime Dog".

Proceeds from the event benefit the 27th Annual Gayelord Mankowski Christmas Party which help make the holidays a little brighter for disadvantaged youth in the community.

In case you're wondering, the Meridian Township Police won that match against the fire department.

The score was 54 to 37.
