Mason Presbyterian Church is hosting "Stone Church Concerts" for the community

As part of their "Stone Church Concerts" for the community, Mason Presbyterian Church is hosting a piano recital, on Sunday December 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM.  Hrant Bagrazyan, the church's accompanist, is the featured recitalist.  He will present a  program of works by Chopin, J.S. Bach, and Brahms.  This free recital is open to all and will be followed by a reception.  A free will offering will be accepted.

Artist Biography:
Hrant Bagrazyan was born in 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia. He attended Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan from 1992 to 2002 and later continued his studies at Yerevan State Conservatory graduating from it in 2007 with Artist Diploma. From 2009 to 2016 Hrant studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music.  Hrant is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts program at MSU College of Music under the guidance of piano Professor Margarita Shevchenko.
Hrant has won prizes both in national (Armenian) and international competitions, including 1st Prize at George Saradjev Competition in 2004 which led him perform as a soloist with Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Third Prize at Aram Khachaturian International Competition in 2007 (Yerevan, Armenia), 1st Prize at KVSO Young Artist International Concerto Competition in 2014 (Bourbonnais, IL), 1st Prize at San Jose International Piano Competition in 2015 (San Jose, CA) and NTD International Piano Competition in 2016 (New York, NY).
Hrant has appeared with concerts in Armenia, Belgium, Poland and USA. Highlights of 2017-2018 season included the performance of Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto with Heights Chamber Orchestra in October 2017 and the piano recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in March 2018.
