Don't be surprised if one of your friends or coworkers asks you to join their team in the fight against breast cancer. The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer held a kick-off breakfast Wednesday morning in East Lansing.
The event is all about generating excitement and organizing teams for a fundraising walk at the state Capitol on October 14.
Making strides is a celebration of survivors and to remember those who were lost to breast cancer. The money raised goes to local programs and services for patients.
