There are a lot of groups working to feed the hungry as we head into the holidays and one local pastor is trying to make his church stand out.
Victor Trevino of The Bread House South church is walking 50 miles to fill 50 baskets for low-income families.
He calls it the Gobble Wobble Walk. He's doing 10 miles every day this week.
Trevino raised almost $2,000 doing the same thing a few months ago.
"There's a lot of faith-based organizations that have to think outside the box. Sometimes we don't get the funding from the government, so we have to do it ourselves. We've gotta find way to feed these people and help these people. And I thank God for all those people are helping in this time of need. Especially Thanksgiving and Christmas we gotta get outside our four walls and do something different that's going to bring in funds to help these families," said Trevino.
Trevino and his congregation will be handing out the baskets next Tuesday. Anyone in need or looking to donate can call The Bread House South church.
