What happens when you are a small town with no banquet facilities? You get creative, and that is just what the Williamston Sunrise Rotary did for the second year in a row for the Taste of Williamston, a fund-raiser to benefit hometown nonprofit Weekend Survival Kits.
“We turned to one of the biggest businesses in town – D&G Equipment off of S. Putnam Street,” shared Rotary Club President, Nick Horstman. “We guarantee you will have a great time at the Taste of Williamston. The showroom is cleared of equipment and is ready for a fine dining/sampling experience, musical entertainment and some great auction items. “
Weekend Survival Kits is the charitable recipient of proceeds from the 2018 Taste of Williamston fundraiser, brought to you by the Williamston Sunrise Rotary Club. The Williamston community of participating restaurants goes all out to provide samplings of their customer favorites. This is a perfect opportunity to try out fare from some of Williamston’s best dining establishments and enjoy a fun evening out with friends for a great cause.
Learn a bit more about the organization in a LIVE interview we did with co-founder Jeff Gorsline.
Local participating restaurants include: Old Nation Brewing Company, Williamston Pub & Grill, The Bistro, Tavern 109, River House Inn, Spag’s Bar & Grill, and Brookshire Inn.
This special event will happen at the D&G Equipment showroom at 2 Industrial Park Drive off S. Putnam in Williamston on Thursday, September 20 from 6-8pm. The big equipment is moved out to make room for plenty of tables, sampling stations, musical entertainment from Williamston High School Jazz Band, Live and Silent Auctions
