Lansing WWII veteran gets new furnace

Imagine having your furnace die just as the cold weather sets in.

It happened to a World War II veteran in Lansing. On Monday, Home Depot and Volunteers of America came to his rescue.

They joined forces to install a new furnace for Charlie Baker and helped out with other odd jobs around the house.

Baker told us he's never asked for anything in return for his service before and he's grateful for the help.
