Lansing Ignite to Host Second Open Tryout

Professional soccer hopefuls invited to sign up for Feb. 10 tryout

LANSING, Mich. — Due to significant demand, Lansing Ignite FC has announced today another opportunity for professional soccer hopefuls to try out for the 2019 inaugural season roster. With the first open tryout, scheduled for Jan. 27, sold out, players ages 16 and up are once again encouraged to sign up for this additional opportunity to join the founding USL League One member.

LIFC’s second open tryout will take place at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Michigan, on Feb. 10, beginning at 10 p.m. and lasting two hours. Anyone ages 16 and above is invited to register, with a cost of $75 per player. All players at the tryout will receive an LIFC dry-fit tryout shirt and should register at www.LansingIgniteCamps.com [lansingignitecamps.com].

A total of nine players, Xavier Gomez, Rafa Mentzingen, Christian Silva, Kyle Carr, Nathan Lewis, Steeve Saint-Duc, Kyle Ihn, Rhys Williams and Kevin Coiffic, have been unveiled as a part of Head Coach Nate Miller’s roster for the upcoming season. Additional player signings are set to be revealed in the coming weeks.

All LIFC players will report to Lansing for preseason training in February 2019. Lansing kicks off its League One season against the Richmond Kickers in Richmond, Virginia, on March 30, while LIFC is set to host its home opener against the Kickers at 7 p.m. ET on April 13 (BUY TICKETS [lansingignite.com]).
