The future for Lansing high school students who hope to attend college is a little brighter, thanks to a large donation from Emergent Bio Solutions.
The company gave $25,000 to the Lansing Promise scholarship program. It gives high school grads in the Capital City the opportunity to attend college tuition-free.
Leaders at Emergent Bio Solutions says every dollar invested in the students is an investment in the community. Executive Vice President Adam Havey said, "This is all about investing in those opportunities for kids and giving them a chance so they can have great careers, be great citizens, and contribute to the region."
More than 100 students have graduated from college under the Lansing Promise program.
